TPACK is one of my personal favorite frameworks because it's specific break down of technology, content, and pedagogy. Pulling the content that students are working towards, and then being able to determine how you intend to teach, and then focusing on what technology you want to use to do so provides a great framework for instruction. Overall the use of technology can help the speed of things in the classroom it's much easier to record grades online directly after grading papers rather than writing them in a grade book. Before long they will have to be entered into the computer so it's saving you an extra step. It also allows everything to be in one place, virtually. Any type of paperwork can be duplicated into an online system now. It's also a great way to adapt the students to our future. They got to watch the 21 day hatching process, the chicks actually hatching, as well as learning to maintain the chicks needs for 2 days after hatching. It was irreplaceable to watch those students be overjoyed at the sight of a chick hatching and then have every student hold a baby chick. This definitely couldn't be done through a computer screen. Now that I mentioned google earth it can also provide experiences that are impossible for most classrooms. For example, If the class is reading a novel involving a different country most of the time the students haven't been out of the country specifically to the one in the novel. Google earth provides a...
