Final Course reflection

This class has definitely taught me how and what it's like to use technology inside of the classroom. With technology evolving it's up to us to keep up with society, and use technology to our advantage within our classroom. With that being said it's not as easy as you think. In the beginning of this class I was comfortable with technology but I definitely wouldn't call myself tech savvy. Technology can be confusing and frustrating when your not familiar with it which can work against you instead of for you. Most of the programs and tools I had experience with was from my own student experience in college. So to be on the other side of things really made me feel some of the stress that I'm sure my professors feel at times.

There are so many tools out there as a teacher, your PLN (Personal Learning Network) could become your best friend. It's a great way to stay up to date, informed, and have resources to anything you can imagine. While exploring specific tools to use in your lesson plans you also have to think about the bigger picture, what type of classroom do you follow. In this case I was only familiar with what a blended classroom is. Not only is there a blended style of learning there is also a flipped classroom. Being able to learn about different learning styles was very beneficial because it also gave me the opportunity to then incorporate how I could use tech tools within those different classroom.

The amount of resources that are out there currently shows how technology is impacted the world of education. Thankfully most teachers are embracing this change and are coming together to help each other so that not only can we benefit from technology but so can our students.

The Scientific Method VS    The Engineering Process                                                                           Visually you can see the difference between the steps within the scientific method and the Engineering process. Both serve as a way to figure out a way to experiment to find results or a solution. But they both have different ways of doing so. Final Reflection

Final Reflection  Throughout this semester I have learned an aptitude of tools to help me further my academic knowledge in order to be a better educator. Several of the strategies I have learned that will be put to use include how to construct and use pathways, use science notebooks, and multiple technology tools. Before this class I had never heard of pathways or playlist. Personally I connected with and prefer pathways better. From a personal point of view I was never apart of a strategy like this when I was in grade school. Education is definitely constantly changing and when introduced to pathways, shows how much we are learning about education and how much it can really benefit every type of learner.
